FOR RELEASE: March 19 , 2021
PORTLAND, OREGON - Jeff Sanders announced today the launch of Jeff Sanders Entertainment Inc., a golf and entertainment focused event management company based in Portland, Oregon. “It was a great run over the past seven years,” said Sanders. “We created a golf festival model that focused on delicious food and wine, amazing music and PGA TOUR golf that substantially grew our event attendance, greatly enhanced our fan and sponsor experience and helped raise millions for charities in need.” Sanders started his first event company, Jeff Sanders Promotions, in 1989, after playing on the PGA TOUR for 6 years. Known as “JSP” the company managed amateur and professional golf events, including the original Ben Hogan Boise Open presented by Albertsons, the historic 1996 US Amateur Championship won by Tiger Woods and the 1997 US Women’s Open. With a passion for promoting golf events, the company grew its golf event portfolio before it was sold in 2013. After selling his company, Sanders stayed on as the leader of the Golf Events Division for seven years. Over the past 32 years, Sanders has sold, promoted and produced hundreds of events. Most notably, in recent years Sanders served as Executive Director of four events under the PGA TOUR umbrella: the Safeway Open, The American Express, the Albertsons Boise Open and the WinCo Foods Portland Open. All four tournaments became known for the golf festival entertainment model created by Sanders. The live music on site at the tournaments have included both private music experiences for Pro-Am and VIP guests as well as sold-out shows for fans after golf. The concerts at the golf events have included performances by Dave Matthews, Jimmy Buffett, John Legend, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Sammy Hagar, Rob Thomas, Weezer, Huey Lewis, Goo Goo Dolls, Bad Company and many more. “My passion for promoting and producing live events, especially when it comes to combining golf and music is as high as ever. The JSE team is ready to go,” said Sanders. Jeff Sanders Entertainment, Inc. will implement its golf festival model and manage the 32nd Albertsons Boise Open this August 16-22, in Boise, Idaho, an event that Sanders launched in 1989 and has continued to direct all 32 years.
